At the start of January, Ed Shapiro, founder of The Shapiro Foundation and a great ally of ours, and Jennifer Mary Bell, team leader at Small Globe, Inc., visited our headquarters office in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
Our guests were able to meet our entire team, as well as some of the students who have benefited from the support provided by The Shapiro Foundation. This philanthropic foundation focuses on supporting initiatives related to forced displacement and meeting the needs of refugees around the world, giving them new opportunities for a better future.
Following this goal, The Shapiro Foundation has contributed to the continuation of DIME’s Higher Education Program, which is composed of the Habesha Project: Complementary Pathways and Habesha Americas.
The visit of Ed Shapiro and Jennifer Bell aligns with our commitment of transparency towards our donors and our efforts to forge new alliances with other organizations and interested actors in the social sector.
It is through these relationships that together we can offer educational opportunities for refugees and, thus, write new stories about forced displacement.
