Miradas originarias
On January 10, at the Cultures of the World National Museum, the Intermediate Results Workshop of the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives of the Canadian Embassy was held, where the DIME Welcome Communities program was invited. Within the framework of the 50th anniversary of the Canada Fund and the X Summit of North American Leaders, the inauguration of the exhibition “Miradas Originales” (Original Views) was held, a tribute to indigenous women from Canada and Mexico, with the presence of enlightened women and Mrs. Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, wife of the Prime Minister of Canada. The objective of this workshop was to recognize the work of the partners of the Canada Fund in the 2022-2023 work period, highlight the importance of civil society in Mexico and the impact of the leadership of various indigenous women activists in Mexico and Canada. In this way, civil society organizations can continue working to build more equitable and harmonious societies.
